A Rare Ives Hicro Color Camera, circa 1914.

An early fixed-focus box camera for colour separation photography via tri-pack film. Made under contract for Eastman Kodak circa 1914. The front lens panel being reversible - some references state this is for ease of storage, but an image is formed regardless of which way around the lens is fitted. Missing internal mirror, but mechanism present. (Working and with signs of normal use, commensurate with age). See Coote, Illustrated History of Colour Photography, Fountain Press, p97. Also Gustavson, Camera: A History of Photography...... Sterling Innovation p230.

Provenance: Bob White Collection
